Consignment Program

Your trailer is parked 340 days a year.

If you own a utility, dump, or equipment trailer that mostly sits, we'll rent it out for you — customers, calendar, contracts, payments and collections — and split what it earns.

How It Works

You keep the trailer. We do the business.

1

We look at it

Condition, tires, brakes, lights, paperwork. Not every trailer is a rental trailer, and we'll tell you honestly if yours isn't — usually that's a tire or brake job away from being one.

2

It goes on the site

Photographed, spec'd, priced and given its own calendar alongside our own fleet. It gets found by the same customers, on the same terms.

3

You get paid

You see every booking, every dollar it earned and every day it went out, in your own login. Payouts on a set schedule, with the math shown.

What You Get

The parts nobody wants to do.

Renting your trailer out privately means answering texts at 9pm, chasing someone who's four days late, and having no contract when something comes back bent. That's the part we take.

You keep the trailer, the title and the control. Block off any dates you want it for yourself and it comes off the calendar — your trailer, your call.

Being Straight With You

Things worth knowing before you ask.

We're new at the trailer side

Spangler's Trailer Rentals is launching. The consignment side of our RV rental business has been running for a while and works well, and this is the same system and the same people — but we're not going to pretend to a track record on trailers that we don't have yet. If you'd rather wait and watch how the first season goes, that's a reasonable thing to do.

Rental trailers wear faster

A trailer that goes out fifty times a year is used harder than one you use ten times. Tires, bearings, lights, deck boards and dump hydraulics all wear on a rental schedule, not a private one. It earns more and it depreciates faster. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something.

Insurance is a real conversation

Your personal policy almost certainly does not cover your trailer being rented out commercially. That's not a detail to gloss over — it's the first thing we'll work through with you, and it may mean a different policy. We'd rather sort it before your trailer goes out than after something happens.

What we're looking for

  • Utility, dump, equipment and car hauler trailers
  • Roadworthy — good tires, working brakes and lights, current registration
  • Titled in your name, and yours to rent out
  • Within reasonable distance of Seguin

Not travel trailers or RVs — those go to our sister business, Spangler's RV Rentals, which has been doing exactly this for RV owners for a while now.

Worth a phone call.

Tell us what you've got and we'll tell you honestly what it might earn and what it would take to get there. No pressure and no obligation.
