Brake controller

This is the one that actually stops your trip if you don't have it. All three of our trailers have electric brakes, and electric brakes do nothing without a controller in the truck telling them how hard to work. Newer trucks often have one built in — a small panel near your left knee with a slider. If yours doesn't, rent ours. It plugs into your 7-pin and sets up in about a minute, and we'll do it with you before you leave.

We don't offer a damage waiver

Some rental companies sell one. We don't, and we'd rather tell you plainly than let you assume otherwise: you are responsible for damage to the trailer while it's in your hands, and there is no product from us that changes that.

This matters because of a gap most people don't know about. Your auto policy's liability generally follows a trailer while it's hitched to your truck — but it almost certainly does not cover damage to the trailer itself, and often covers nothing at all once the trailer is unhitched on a job site.

Call your insurance agent before you book and ask specifically about physical damage to a non-owned trailer, both while towing and while parked. If you're not covered, you may want to add it. Full terms are in the rental agreement, sections 6 and 7.

Tarp kit — dump trailer only

Texas requires loose material to be covered so it can't blow or spill out. If you're hauling dirt, gravel, sand, or roofing debris, you need the trailer tarped. Ours comes with a tarp; the kit adds the straps and bows to get it over an uneven load properly.

Delivery

We're not offering it at launch, and we'd rather say that plainly than take your booking and disappoint you. Delivery moves a rental business into a different insurance category, and we're getting the rental side right first. If you have a job that genuinely can't work without it, call us — we'd rather hear about it than not know the demand exists.
